SUPPORT has working with over 41,529 families in 5,816 villages spread across 48 blocks in 9 districts the State Jharkhand. The majority of these districts are among the poor district in the country. Nearly all outreach is through Women’s Self Help Groups (SHGs). More than two-third of the families we work with belongs to Schedule Tribes and Castes and all are from socio-economically disadvantaged section.

In the financial year 2017-18 three projects were sanctioned and executed under International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) and MKSP in Mandu block of Ramgarh district and National Horticulture Mission (NHM) in Churchu block of Hazaribag district.

We also began working in left wing extremism blocks in Hazaribag, Bokaro, Ramgarh, Giridih and Chatra districts. Our priority presently is to expand sectoral livelihood programmmes to reach out to all needy members of village institutions already promoted rather than expansion in new area.
