Safe Drinking Water and Sanitation :

SUPPORT is working as BRC (Block Resource Centre) for Ramgarh District with DWSM (Drinking Water and Sanitation Mission) Ramgarh. We have 6 Block Co-coordinators and 11 Cluster Co-coordinators. We are currently working in 355 revenue villages of 6 blocks of Ramgarh Districts and formed 355 VWSCs (Village Water and Sanitation Committee). In each VWSC we have one Jal Sahiya (locally elected by the villagers itself), who are responsible to check the sources of drinking water (especially hand pumps) to assure that villagers are getting safe drinking water quality and also look after the construction of sanitary toilets.

HIV/AIDS Control :

Under health programme to reduce the risk of HIV/ AIDS truckers have been targeted as they are the one who are the most vulnerable to HIV/ AIDS. The programme is run in Bokaro District of Jharkhand. Tests are done for truckers if they have got STI (Sexually Transmitted Infection) in the ICTC (Integrated Counselling and Testing Centre). Counselling is also done in the ICTC. Other than these IPC sessions are done, Nukkad Natak (Street play) and games are done in the field area.
